January 27, 1979, Holy Eucharist begins on Saturday evenings in the Parker United Methodist Church Building.

October 1, 1979, Bishop William Frey formally establishes the Parker Episcopal Mission. 

December 13, 1979, Bishop William Frey formally gives the Mission the name St. Matthew’s, stating “I believe the great commission to the Church to go and make disciples of all nations …is highly significant in view of the vision of ministry which your congregation has already achieved.”  

June 1, 1980 – Rick Myers becomes St. Matthew’s first official Vicar.  

September, 1982 – Ave Maria Chapel was moved down mainstreet to become St. Matthew’s first chapel. 

September 19, 1985 – Bishop William “Dub” Wolfram officially dedicates and concsecrates the new worship space.  

July 1, 1988 – Father Rick Myers resigns from St. Matthew’s.  

August 18, 1988 – Resolution passed appointment Father Lou Wells as the interim Priest.  

April 19, 1989 – Bishop Frey formally installs Fr. Don Seils as the new Vicar 

January 26, 1990 – Fr. Don Seils departs St. Matthew’s. 

June 24, 1990 – Fr. Vern Myers becomes St. Matthew’s Interim Priest.  

April 14, 1991 – Sara Balcomb is called to be the newest Vicar at St. Matthew’s.  

June 1, 1991 – Sara Balcomb celebrates at St. Matthew’s for the first time.  

January 10, 1993 – Bishop Wolfum officially makes St. Matthew’s a Parish and Sara Balcomb our first Rector.  

November, 1994 – Building Committee is formed to explore a building project to expand St. Matthew’s. 

October, 1995 – Construction contracts were signed and work was to start immediately on the new buildings. 

September 21, 1996 – Bishop Winterrowd consecrates the new worship space.  

December 16, 1997 – Phil Mason is ordained as a preist at St. Matthew’s.  

September, 2000 – Phil Mason is installed as new Rector of St Matthew’s. 

July, 2002 – Phil Mason resigns as Rector of St. Matthew’s. 

February, 2003 – Rev. Phil Webb comes to St. Matthew’s as Interim Rector
